Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information VitalRecordsHub collects when you visit, why we collect it, and how it is used. We have written it in plain English — if anything is unclear, write to us at the address on the contact page.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server log information when you load a page: your IP address, the URL you requested, the time of the request, your browser's user-agent string, and the referring page. We use these logs only to detect abuse, diagnose technical problems, and produce aggregate traffic statistics. Logs are rotated and discarded within a short retention window.

Cookies

VitalRecordsHub does not set any first-party tracking cookies. We do not maintain user accounts, and there is nothing to log in to. A small number of strictly necessary cookies may be set by our hosting provider for load balancing and security; these expire when you close your browser.

Advertising

This site displays advertisements served by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdSense). When an ad is rendered, the ad network may set its own cookies or read existing ones to serve relevant ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. We do not control those cookies, do not have access to the data they collect, and do not combine ad-network data with any other information about you.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU). Advertisers may also honor your browser's "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal — please consult their respective policies.

Analytics

We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool that records aggregate page views, referrers, and country-level location, without setting cookies and without recording IP addresses in identifiable form. Individual visitors are not profiled.

Forms and email

The only way to send us personal information is to email us. Anything you choose to write to us is stored in our mailbox and used solely to respond to you. We do not add email addresses to any newsletter list, and we do not share or sell them.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

External links

VitalRecordsHub frequently links to government websites and to commercial vendors approved by state agencies (notably VitalChek). Once you click an outbound link, you are subject to the privacy policy of that destination, not ours.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California, the EU, or the UK), you may have a right to request copies of, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we do not maintain user accounts and because our server logs are short-lived, in most cases there is no personal information to retrieve. You may still write to us with a request and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the "last updated" date above and post a brief note on the homepage. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
